(on the surface simplicity) it’s nice to see a designer do what he does best. in this case that means a covetable mix of all things understatedly chic. it’s easy to see a wide variety of girls in these clothes and is a cleansing from spring which was much more about an unexpected mix. he’s not challenging his customers this season, he’s giving them exactly what they want. i couldn’t think of a smarter move in such a tumultuous time for the fashion industry. (not that mr. jacobs ever had anything to worry about)
